About Me

I am currently studying a BTEC National Diploma in Art and Design at Selby College. This involves developing my skills in areas such as Digital Imaging using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Photography, Graphic Design, Printmaking, Illustration, Desktop Publishing and simple artistic skills such as painting and sketching. I am very enthusiastic and passionate about Photography in particular, giving me not only a great amount of pleasure but also something I believe I am good at, but can also improve on. I am very willing to learn new skills and take things into consideration, working hard to always produce my best effort. A career in Photography is my biggest aim in life and I will always, without a doubt try my hardest to get there.

Sketchbook Pages

This is an example of my sketchbook work from during my first year at college that aided development and ideas for a natural form project. The pages contain experiments using the dark room, monoprinting and also layering materials and revealing them using a sewing machine.

This is a photograph of the Humber Bridge taken in my spare time. I edited the photograph in Photoshop afterwards by cropping the image, along with enhancing brightness and contrast.

Digital Imaging

During time at College I completed an NCFE course in digital imaging, involving developing and pushing my skills further in Photoshop and Illustrator. This particular piece of work was influenced by the theme 'Urban' and CD art work, allowing me to research into city scenes and urban areas.
Eventually I used Photoshop to layer up my photographs and sketches, finishing off with song lyrics of my particular choice.

This is a photograph taken in my spare time whilst visiting Whitby sea front. The photo was taken within my first year of college and I used it within several projects afterward involving landscape and reflection.
